There are mainly three methods of teeth whitening available in dentistry.

• Over the counter whitening products that can be purchased without a prescription and generally without a dentist supervision. They are very easy to use and can be found in many supermarkets and pharmacies.
  
• Take home whitening system where a whitening tray is custom fabricated according to the patients dental morphology and the patient can whiten her/his own teeth at home. It is supervised by the dentist and the material can only be dispensed at a dental facility. It usually takes seven to ten days for the teeth to achieve a complte and noticible results. In some cases one can see the results in two to three days.
  
• In office whitening where a dental professional apply the whitening material directly on to the teeth and utilize a special light source to activate the material to whiten the teeth. It usually takes one hour for the process to complete and generally it will produce a very instant result at the end of the appointment. We are currently utilizing the Zoom! whitening system to achieve this method of teeth whitening.
